GUIDED TOURS

Monday
We conduct a 1 1/2 hour history of French Lick and West Baden area starting at 2:00 p.m. and returning around 3:30 p.m. (times may vary), year round. Price $6.00.
Tuesday
Tuesday is set aside for a tour through the Old Order Amish country, through an Amish home, quilt shop, general store and then to the Gasthof Amish restaurant for a good Amish home cooked meal. After your meal you will be turned loose to go through all of the shops and large flea market (3 barns). Depart at 9:00 a.m. and return about 3:30 p.m. (times may vary for return). Transportation price $7.00. Meal, gratuity and touring Amish home $16.50.
Wednesday
Tour of the Jasper Engine & Transmission factory (winter only). Tour of the 250 acre Underground Complex. Lunch is at Van's Country Table then on to Marengo Cave National Landmark. A 2 hour cruise on Patoka Lake (summer only). Last stop Paw Paw Patch. Transportation price $9.00. Complex $9.00. Cave $9.00. Meal $6.00 to $9.00.
Thursday
Tour a Limestone Quarry and see the large blocks of stone being quarried, then a rest stop at Appleacres . Then on to the Architectural Stone Company to observe how the large blocks are transformed into the type of stone used in the construction of the Empire State Building. A tour of Bedford Indiana, the limestone capital of the world is next. Then on to the Old Buggy Restaurant for a very tasty buffet meal. The next stop is a Car Museum and then to a Pioneer Village to see how it was done in 1815 (summer only). The final stop is back to your villa. Transportation price $10.00. Quarry, museum and stone mill $2.00 each. Meal $5.95.
